From humble beginnings in our founder's apartment to international events and features in top fashion magazines, our journey as a fashion and accessories company has been a dream come true. We've come so far, and yet there's so much we aspire and hope to create for our community in the coming years. Our origins on a fold-out table at local Harlem markets to making a name for ourselves globally could not come to fruition without the inspiration of those at the heart of it all: strong women.

At our core is the vision of "machann" women in Haiti selling goods in open-air markets. We take inspiration from their resilience and determination as they use their voices to stand out and make a living. We honor the way they wrap their heads for work and leisure, and we incorporate this cultural influence into our designs.

Our commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs and creatives is our grounding force. We created Ti Mache, delivering creations from the hands of artisans across the globe to your doorstep because we believe that when one woman rises, we all grow. In fact, due to women-centered media, be it hair and lifestyle blogs when Instagram was still in its infancy or present-day Essence and Vogue features, women, specifically black women, have held us up through the years.

Through trips to Puerto Rico and pop-up shops in Trinidad, shooting on rooftops, and vending at SXSW, our journey can be summarized as one where we never gave up, even when faced with the unpredictable. Even with a cross-country move during a pandemic we've been inspired by the creativity and resilience of those who have adapted and thrived in the face of adversity and told their stories to inspire us all.

Through it all, we remain dedicated to creating fashion and accessories that empower and inspire those who look like us. We are proud of our impact on the cultural conversation about what it means to be a strong woman, and we look forward to continuing to make a difference in the world.
