Fanm Djanm Studio x Yoga With Anea

Fanm Djanm Studio x Yoga With Anea

Anea Michelle, like all forces of nature, works from the inside out. In addition to rest, Anea uses themes of love and grace to anchor her vision of a world where yoga is for every BODY. During the first session of our Yoga with Anea series, guests rest and reset by flowing through gentle poses while immersed in a sound bath.

The asana practice hosted in-studio changes weekly, participants can expect Anea to be a support to their yoga journey. "I want to meet people on their mat, wherever they are in life. I want to remind them that regardless of this being their first time or they practice yoga regularly, they are meant to be here, and I appreciate them taking time for themselves", shares Michelle.

Anea's ability to focus on the student experience began with an elementary audience. While teaching 3rd and 5th-grade girls, Anea added yoga to the afterschool curriculum as an activity for students. When asked how her approach to asana ripples off the mat, Anea asserts "Practicing yoga has been a way to give grace to myself throughout the day. I have learned to place fear aside and try new things or hobbies while being aware of the reminder of practicing something does not mean being perfect at that thing."

Michelle's ultimate goal for the sessions is to impart a message she received from her dad: Take a moment for [your]self, no matter what is going on.
Fanm Djanm Studio x Yoga with Anea will continue on 8/27 and 9/10. Head over to our events page to secure your spot.
